About 3 Bros Fruit

Family Owned Pitaya Farm in La Esperanza Chiriqui Panama growing more than 40 varieties of Dragon Fruit

Welcome to 3 Bros Fruit, also known as Tres Hermanos Pitayas y Caballos, a family-owned pitaya farm nestled in the beautiful highlands of La Esperanza, Chiriquí, Panama. Surrounded by rich volcanic soil and an ideal mountain climate, our farm is dedicated to growing exceptional dragon fruit while honoring the traditions of rural Panama.

What began as a passion for farming has grown into one of the region's most diverse pitaya farms. Today, our 11-hectare property is home to more than 2,800 pitaya plants representing over 40 unique varieties of dragon fruit. From vibrant local favorites to rare exotic cultivars, every harvest offers something new to discover.

Rooted in Family Passion and the Land

At the heart of 3 Bros Fruit are Kat and Larry, whose love for agriculture and the outdoors inspired them to create a farm where quality, sustainability, and community come together. Every season is shaped by hands-on care—from nurturing young plants and watching each flower bloom to harvesting fruit at the perfect moment.

The name Tres Hermanos Pitayas y Caballos reflects the farm's roots and the values that continue to guide it today. Alongside our pitaya fields, horses remain an important part of daily life, honoring the agricultural traditions that have shaped this property for years.

We believe that exceptional fruit begins long before harvest. It starts with healthy soil, careful cultivation, and a genuine appreciation for the land we are fortunate to call home. Every harvest reflects our commitment to quality and our passion for sharing the incredible diversity of this remarkable fruit.

More Than 40 Varieties of Dragon Fruit

Not all dragon fruit is the same.

At 3 Bros Fruit, we grow an extraordinary collection of more than 40 varieties of pitaya, each with its own unique flavor, color, texture, and appearance. Some produce brilliant white flesh, while others reveal vibrant shades of pink, red, and deep purple. Every variety brings something different to the table, making each harvest an exciting experience for both first-time visitors and longtime dragon fruit enthusiasts.

Our diverse collection allows us to showcase the incredible range of flavors that dragon fruit has to offer while helping preserve and cultivate unique varieties for future generations.

From Flower to Harvest

Growing exceptional pitaya requires patience.

Each fruit begins as a spectacular flower that blooms for a single night before developing into mature fruit over the following approximately 60 days. Throughout the growing season, every plant receives careful attention to ensure healthy growth, vibrant color, and exceptional flavor.

Harvest season typically begins in June and continues throughout the warmer months, bringing fresh, locally grown dragon fruit to families, visitors, and the Boquete community.
